Easter 2014

Easter Baskets and new church clothes. Symi had a fever and had thrown up that night. She was still sleeping when the festivities started. We think she ate something that made her sick.

"Mom! A treat!"

A whole package of sour jelly beans!

Symi finally joined us. She had bed head from fevery sweat and restlessness. But she too was quite pleased with her stash.

New bug nets for my little critter catchers.

Symi was determined to wear her dress and have her hair done up like a princess. She was still feverish and miserable but really didn't want to miss Easter Sunday. Super Man joined the Princess in a stylish hair photoshoot.

Front side. Happy Face!

My 2 handsome boys all dressed up and ready to go!

And yes. Here we have the goofy faces.

We like to do our Easter Baskets on Saturday morning. Color eggs. Do egg hunts. Our fun family traditions!

When Sunday comes we love to talk about Jesus and his Resurrection. We also do a special Egg Hunt. Where in 12 eggs are hidden Scriptures about the last week of Christ's life. In each egg is also a token representing the egg. For instance one egg talks about the last supper. Where Christ implimented the Sacrament. In the egg is a Sacrament cup symbolizing what we read and how we are still following the Savior today. Our whole family loves to cuddle together and waits  anxiously for each egg to be opened.
Our Easter was beautiful. And we enjoyed doing it together.

Jayden is 3

First you have to bake the Birthday Boy his "Monkey Cake". He's been asking for this since March.

But you have to lick off the beaters.

And get this last corners of the beaters.

Mmmmm! Chocolate is good!!

Then Mommy bakes, cools, and adds cool frosting to transform an ordinary round cake into the desired "Monkey Cake".

Mom and Dad decorate while chirldren sleep. Excited when the Birthday Morning arrives. Dad's excitment was too much so he napped in the recliner.

Gifts are wrapped!

He woke up early and this is how we found him squealing with joy!

Presants are opened and each one kissed as he was so happy for each one.

His brother and sister also gave him a gift and he was excited!  He quickly by himself hugged them both. It was a giggling ball of kids.

The new toys that EVERYONE wanted to play with. Jayden "tried" to share.

In the mail came a bug box and catcher from Grandma JoDee and Grandpa Bryan. He was thrilled!

Later that week Grandpa and Grandma Hepworth stopped by and gave Jayden his gifts. Clothes and a toy were strewn everywhere.

He was one very happy Birthday Boy!  He told me he was "So excited Mommy!  I be 3!  I get my "Monkey Cake"!!"
Happy Birthday Jayder Man-Boy!!

Follow the Prophet

Symi has been packing around our April 2014 Ensign for the last few days. She keeps asking me about a prophet.

Is he real? Does he have a family? Does he have hands? Why does he smile? Where is his favorite temple? Will I ever get to meet him? When can she teach a lesson on the Prophet.

Tonight we graced her with the opportunity to teach us this exact article for Family Home Evening.   The kids were wild and crazy, but she took a quiet moment to tell me thank you for letting her do that. She has loved on the article so much that the pages are tattered and nearly torn out.

She loves President Thomas S. Monson.

I love to see the Temple!

I told them to pick their favorite flower and we'd take a picture. Jayden picked a "spiky green flower".

Symi loved each tiny baby flower. These small pink ones won her heart!

They are standing by my favorite flower. Tulips!

We love to visit the temple. Dane and Ben stayed in the car while the other two kids and I braved the rain. We stopped breifly to smell the tulips. I just love tulips! The kids got to see a squirrel and see the water fall too. It was nice to be at the temple even in the cold rain. Symi told me that she wants to be a princess someday and go to the temple. I told her that would be wonderful and I will be there with her!

While Ben and Dane were in the car they got to scare another squirrel to death and were still giggling about it when we had arrived back at the car.

Our lives are so richly blessed and good.

Being with GG

The kids got to spend time with GG while Dane and I attended the temple. They love being with her and are always excited when we tell them we are going to see GG!!

Ben with GG.

Symi asked me if I would take a picture of her with the "beautiful baby". I told her to get GG and we'd get a picture with all of them together. I think every grand daughter has LOVED the beautiful blue baby!  We need patterns so that some day we can each have our own "beautiful baby" to remind us of our GG.

Busy Jayden with GG.

A picture of 4 wonderful people that I love so dearly.

Grandpa

Symi knew what she wanted as soon as she saw her Grandpa. She was talking about sitting on him for days before we went. I wasn't sure what she was talking about, she reassured me that she would show me. :0)

Here are the boys just wanting to be near him too.
